The King's Greatest Secret is Like a Pearl Buried in the Field

It is sad, but true - billions of voices are claiming to help you find it. We can actually help you find it.  But first you must begin to search in the right place.

You know where it is - at least you know where it is supposed to be.

 It is in your heart!

"The heart is the most deceitful (crooked, polluted) thing there is and desperately wicked (incurable, sick, and woeful) No one can really know how bad it is!  The Living Bible (Jeremiah 17:9)!

Your heart tells you that if you get certain things, you will live in peace and satisfaction, you will find and have strength and be safe from your enemies, you will have health and be prosperous in all that you do, and you will have authority and operate in liberty and freedom instead of servitude. Problem is that you seek, strive, work, plan, and often achieve, but you do not find the satisfaction that your heart promised you.

That is the deceitfulness of your heart.

It is what leads us into addictions, excesses, bigotry, anger, frustration, rage, sexual perversions, wars, slavery and every kind of evil in the world.

Your Heart is deceitful - it sends you outside to find what is lacking on the inside - the further you go, and the more you get the more hopeless and desperate your life becomes. Many people hand themselves over to resignation, they make vows based on their experience and pains and they decide that their lot in life is set.

But we all know - or at least we used to know that there is MORE than what we can see with our eyes.

It is just a little beyond the visible - it is a Mystery - a SECRET - that we long to know.

It's the King's Greatest Secret - We think," If I could only Get One More....... If I could meditate my way in... re-train my brain....search the wisdom of history and culture...climb a great mountain...endure pain and rigorous training...or just get a little wine and some time off... or... or...

I could have it."

Sometimes we just stand and stare - Why can't we see it?  - Where is this Treasure? - What will fill the Hole in our heart that defies gratification through its own demands?

Fact is most people - even many people who believe the Bible and would identify themselves as Christians - are looking in the wrong place to find this TREASURE.

Most people are looking OUTSIDE of themselves for the very thing that they are lacking inside themselves. They are looking off to "heaven" somewhere or at least to some other place and time far away from their everyday reality.

The King's Greatest Secret is a Treasure that is buried!

That's right, the King's Greatest Secret is found just below the surface. When it is found it will become hidden again in your heart, but you will truly know it, possess it, and you will never have to live without it again  - forever.

We are like clay jars in which this treasure is stored. The real power comes from God and not from us. (2 Corinthians 4:7 New International Version)

We are clay jars specifically designed to hold the treasure of Jesus Christ and Christ shows what God is like.

This is what fills the void.

If you are saying to yourself that you already know this or that you already heard this before and its not all that big a deal, You have once again walked past the worlds greatest mystery without finding it. STOP!  And look again. There is treasure here that is hidden ,just a little way down, just a short way ahead, refreshing each new day, endlessly without repetition.

The Apostle Paul tells us (see below) that "All the treasures of Wisdom and Knowledge" are hidden in Him (Christ).

Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

2 Corinthians 5:1-5 New International Version

This is  part of the Greatest Mystery, the Greatest Hidden Treasure, and the Greatest Secret of the Ages!

I have become its servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness-  the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the saints.  To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. (Colossians 1:25-29)

We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.  To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me. (Colossians 1:25-29)

My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ,  in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.  (Colossians 2:2-4) NIV
